Beyond The Four Blood Moons
There is currently a lot of speculation and talks about the solar
and blood moon eclipses in 2014 and 2015 that may fulfill end-time
milestones of Bible prophecy.
Joel 2:31
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
Revelation 6:12
I looked when He opened the sixth seal,
and behold, there was a great earthquake;
and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair,
and the moon became like blood.
What were written and described in Joel and Revelation might
appear to be a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse. But they are not!
A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes through the shadow of
the earth. During a lunar eclipse, the moon may turn into a reddish
color. A lunar eclipse can last up to an hour and a half.
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon goes in front of the sun and
blocks most of the sun's light from the earth. During a total solar
eclipse, the sun may appear to be turned into darkness. It lasts for only a few minutes.
Through the ages, man has learned how to calculate and publish
upcoming eclipses in advance.
Today, the solar and lunar eclipse patterns for the coming years
are calculated and tabulated in the NASA database and website.
Interestingly enough, two of the feasts of the LORD, namely
Passover (15th Nisan) and Tabernacles (15th Tishri) fall on a full
moon.
The NASA’s table has a string of lunar and solar eclipses
in 2014 and 2015.
And there are four blood moon eclipses:

- 15 Apr 2014 (Passover)
- 08 Oct 2014 (Tabernacles)
- 04 Apr 2015 (Passover)
- 28 Sep 2015 (Tabernacles)
There is a total solar eclipse on 20 March 2015 in the NASA
table.

These intriguing discoveries and especially strategic timing with the dates
of the feasts of the LORD have caught the attention of many prophecy
teachers and enthusiasts everywhere. And speculation and talks have
flooded the churches. Many Christians are fascinated
and thrilled by them.
But the Second Coming of Christ involves more than lunar and
solar eclipses.
Matthew 24:29
Immediately after the tribulation of those days
the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from heaven,
and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
There are four things written herein:
- The sun will be darkened.
- The moon will not give its light.
- The stars will fall from heaven.
- The powers of the heavens will be shaken.
The whole universe will be shaken. There will be massive quakes
and shakings on earth and in the heavens. Stars will fall from
heavens and the powers of heavens will be shaken! There will be
cosmic catastrophes. The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not
give its light. Not scheduled lunar and solar eclipses. Not for a
few hours or a few minutes. But for many days and maybe months and
years!
Revelation 8:10-12
Then the third angel sounded:
And a great star fell from heaven,
burning like a torch,
and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
The name of the star is Wormwood.
A third of the waters became wormwood,
and many men died from the water,
because it was made bitter.
Then the fourth angel sounded:
And a third of the sun was struck,
a third of the moon, and a third of the
stars,
so that a third of them were darkened.
A third of the day did not shine,
and likewise the night.
This Wormwood factor was overlooked by many prophecy teachers
and followers – a meteorite or asteroid hitting the Earth and
causing global and heavenly disasters! And nobody is able to predict
or know its path or day of impact! Nobody except our Father in
heaven.
A third of the sun, a third of the moon and a third of the stars
will be struck so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the
day did not shine, and likewise the night. That is eight hours per
day if the day is still 24 hours long!
But praise God, the days will be shortened!
Matthew 24:22
And unless those days were shortened,
no flesh would be saved;
but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
Because of the falling stars and the shaken powers of the
heavens, the duration of those days will be affected. And thank God,
they will be shortened and not lengthened. Praise God for His mercy
and grace!
Because the days are shortened, the dates of all the calculated
eclipses may be affected. Our annual calendars may also be changed!
Something is happening in the Middle East everyday. One thing I
will not do: Attempt to predict the events by lunar and solar
eclipses, and interpret their omens. It is against the teachings of
the Bible:
Deuteronomy 18:10-12
Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter
in the fire,
who practices divination or sorcery,
interprets omens, engages in witchcraft,
or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the
dead.
Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD;
because of these same detestable practices
the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you.
Beyond the four blood moons, we need to really consider our
standing in Christ! Are we ready for His Coming? Will we have enough oil in our lamps?
Will He find us faithful? Will we be standing
on His right hand?
Hebrews 12:25-29
See that you do not refuse Him who speaks.
For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth,
much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks
from heaven,
whose voice then shook the earth;
but now He has promised, saying,
“Yet once more I shake not only the earth,
but also heaven.”
Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates
the removal of those things that are being
shaken,
as of things that are made,
that the things which cannot be shaken may
remain.
Therefore, since we are receiving a
kingdom which cannot be shaken,
let us have grace,
by which we may serve God acceptably with
reverence and godly fear.
For our God is a consuming fire.
Yet once more the Lord will shake not only the earth but the
heavens also. All that are being shaken will be removed. Only the
unshakable things will remain.
I strongly encourage those who are still chasing after the wind
to start building solid foundations in their faith in Christ! Yes,
strong and godly foundations that cannot be shaken!
But before building, it may first involve rooting out and pulling down,
destroying and throwing down.
Jeremiah 1:10
See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the
kingdoms,
To root out and to pull down,
To destroy and to throw down,
To build and to plant.
Yes, we need to start rooting out all the wrong things in our
life, pulling down all those things we have built over the years on sinking sand,
destroying those idols we are still worshipping, and throwing away all the
trash! We need to be sanctified and get right with God again! We
need to build His kingdom based on His righteousness, and plant
seeds of love, joy and peace. The kingdom of God cannot be shaken!
Let us serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
When we are ready for His coming, we will have blessed assurance
and hope. We will neither be fearful nor afraid!
We can say with the Spirit of God, "Come! Lord and King Jesus!"
